Arkansas Father Loses His Cool at Daughter’s Basketball Game, Leaves Early, and His Actions Lead to Her Panic Attack and Missing Her Christmas Dance Performance!

A father named Vercett S Randolph took to his Facebook to share a heartfelt message about a tough evening that happened at his daughter’s basketball game and how things spiraled from there into something that affected her big Christmas dance performance afterward.
Directly, he went into the point, accepting his fault, taking accountability, and being transparent
Vercett explained openly that he got upset during the game and lost his composure when he stood up and attempted to talk to the coach right in the middle of play. Because of this, he had to leave the gym before everything wrapped up.
In reflecting on it, he admitted that he acted selfishly without considering how that would hit his daughter, Mar’Cayla, hard, especially on a night when she needed him for her upcoming dance event.
For the dance event, Vercett was supposed to help her with hair and makeup and sit right up front to cheer her on.
He admitted that the turn of events was too much for his daughter, Mar’Cayla, who saw him get escorted out and then went on to finish the basketball game, which her team unfortunately lost. Then, she had to hurry over to get ready for the performance.
The combination of all those emotions and the rush overwheled for her, which resulted in a meltdown along with a panic attack that ultimately meant she couldn’t take the stage that night.

Vercett expressed deep regret over this chain of events, saying that it truly broke his heart to think about what she went through because of his actions.
“That breaks my heart,” he wrote.
At the same time, he made sure to emphasize that this difficult experience doesn’t define his daughter in any way.
Vercett described her proudly as someone who maintains A grades in school, shows respect to others, and excels tremendously as an athlete. He also added that she will keep shining in all those areas moving forward.
Friends and supporters quickly responded with messages of encouragement and understanding.
Caleigh Parker wrote, “And this moment does NOT define her momma. Both of you keep your heads up, we love yall!”
Another comment from Nikki Thomas said,
“You are a parent and when it comes to your baby that mother instinct kicked in. It means a lot fir you to admit what you did but in that moment you wasn’t seeing clearly. This too shall pass. I love you and hope you have a great rest of your night. Tell baby girl she is tuff and that was just a quick reaction to a situation.”
Tonya Clifford Benefield added, “Chin up momma! We all get get caught up in moments and realize we could have made a different decision but at the time we are only thinking of protecting our babies. This post shows your character and heart You are both amazing humans!!!”
