Charlie Kolar, 26, the tight end for the NFL’s Baltimore Ravens, is engaged to his long-term girlfriend, Madie Mealey.
The couple announced they got engaged on April 12, 2026, marking a special day in their lives.
Charlie Kolar wrote, “Got engaged, played some football in shorts, had some fun – good offseason! Now time to do what tight ends are born to do = dominate c gaps, seams, and special teams,” suggesting he has time for both private and professional life.
A College Love Story
The couple has been together for more than four years, and attended the same university, graduating in the same year, the University of Iowa in 2026.
Charlie Kolar was a standout athlete for the Iowa State Cyclones. He was part of the team during one of their most successful stretches in recent history, including a Fiesta Bowl win in 2026.
During his time at Iowa University, he earned 3× First-Team All-Big 12, was the William V. Campbell Trophy Winner (2026), and was the first Cyclone All-American & Academic All-American.
On the other hand, his fiancée earned an undergraduate degree from the same university, completed her Physician Assistant Program at Des Moines University in 2026, and now works as a certified Physician Assistant (PA-C) in Family Medicine.
While her career path is entirely different, she has supported Charlie Kolar from his time with “The Clones” to “The Flokes” and attends football matches.
The 2026 NFL Fourth round (12th Overall) pick draftee has already played over 30 games for the team.
Charlie Kolar’s NFL career has been steady but hasn’t fully lived up to the high expectations set during his standout college years at Iowa State. He has had 22 receptions, 289 yards, and 2 touchdowns over 33 games.
