A brother who was active on Facebook with the name  shot his own brother, Terrence Curry, in Centreville, Illinois, in what family members describe as a tragic act of jealousy.

According to family accounts, the shooting stemmed from envy over Terrence’s positive life choices and progress in supporting his daughters and granddaughter.

The devastating act not only claimed Terrence’s life but also left his mother, , fearing she could have been the next victim.

Valerie Thomas Curry took to Facebook to share her heartbreak and anger over the tragic loss of her son.

She expressed grief and outrage at the circumstances that tore her family apart, writing:

How could your brother take your life? You both have the same mother, was raised in the same home, was taught the same values…Officially Choice is in custody and I hope they throw the damn jail on top of you.

Earlier, she had posted tributes to her son, writing:

My son, was killed today. Please keep me and my family in your prayers. This was him on Monday at a basketball game celebrating his birthday. Love you until eternity

Moreover, Valerie reflected on her years of raising her children alone, recalling that all her sons ever saw her do was work and provide for them.

She noted that they were just 8, 6, and 2 years old when she divorced their father, and she devoted everything she had to raising them to be respectful and productive citizens.

In her words, the tragedy “just doesn’t seem real.”

Through these posts, Valerie focused on both her grief and the painful reality of losing a son to violence within the family.

Many community members have poured out their emotions in response to Valerie’s post, sharing their perspectives and heartfelt support.

One person highlighted their own painful experience, saying,

Damn I’m at a loss of words I pray for comfort and peace I pray for your grandbabies. I know your inbox is flooded with messages but my inbox is open. I’ve experienced this with another Relative who’s son killed his brother.
