Houston Beck, the son of football coach Lance Beck, stopped breathing on November 4, 2026, and was taken to Riverview Hospital. Sadly, he didn’t make it.
Coach Beck thanked everyone for their prayer for his son and the whole family.
Lance Beck is a familiar and friendly face in Gadsden, Alabama, known for his dedication to coaching young athletes.
He is a proud graduate of Emma Sansom High School and has always been passionate about sports. Later, he generously shared that passion by stepping up to coach local kids.
During his time as a Pee-Wee football coach, he taught children the fundamentals of the game and emphasized the importance of teamwork.
Moreover, his coaching didn’t stop there. He also spent time coaching youth baseball, helping another generation of kids learn to love sports.
He played a valuable role in shaping the character and skills of young players in his town through his efforts in football and baseball.
Everyone please say a prayer Lance Beck and his family for the passing of their son Houston today. Lance was my son’s football coach back in Pee Wee days, and Houston graduated with Jaleel from Etowah High School class of 2026. Our families go way back and my heart hurts for Lance and his wife. I pray that God gives y’all strength during this difficult time. 🙏💔😭
