A former player on the Tiffin University women’s soccer team has come forward with serious allegations regarding the treatment of the women’s soccer team during her tenure.

In a letter titled “Reasons Why I Quit TU Soccer,” the player reveals about four years of what she calls abuse, mental, physical, and emotional.

She claims the coach made inappropriate jokes and treated the players poorly. Allegedly, the coach would grab players by their jerseys, yell, and tell them to “shut up.

But the part about food stands out the most. The player claims that the head coach provided the team with just one meal per day during away games, writing:

Not feeding us properly during away games, one meal a day, not enough to play a game.

Then she adds that the coach acted surprised when players ended up with eating disorders. She blamed the coach for not taking care of their basic needs, writing:

He wonders why we all have eating disorders

This all came out after someone filed a complaint on Monday, November 3, 2026.

University papers indicate that the Title IX office is now investigating the entire coaching staff.

The school’s Title IX office, which looks into reports of harassment and discrimination, is reviewing complaints against the women’s soccer coaching staff.

A letter from Jamie Lodermeier-Fay, who helps run the Title IX office, states that they received information from outside sources regarding alleged misconduct by the women’s soccer coaches.

One was sent anonymously to university leaders, listing six types of misconduct, including threats and public belittling.

Allegedly, the coach threatened to reduce playing time or revoke scholarships if someone reported being hurt or sick. He even mocked the trainers who helped with injuries.

On Wednesday, Athletic Director Kelly Daniel called a brief 10-minute meeting with the entire team.

The complaint requests that the school retain all recordings, as it alleges that the coaches have begun deleting files. It wants the coaches gone right away if the claims turn out to be true.

Meanwhile, the school is offering help to anyone who needs it.

According to the team website, the head coach is Michael Cracas. The school says it is conducting a thorough investigation to gather all the facts.

They also won’t talk about whether the coaches are still working or if the players are safe right now.

Right now, no one knows what will happen next. Players and families are waiting to see if changes come soon.
