Former Lacrosse Star Kyle Price Dies at 26, Leaving His Parents, Steven and Merci Price

Kyle Price, a former lacrosse player from Lexington, Kentucky, passed away unexpectedly at the age of 26 on January 11, 2026.

He was an athlete who found joy in staying active.

Kyle Price graduated from Lexington Christian Academy and attended the University of Kentucky. He lived his life with vibrant energy and a love for activity.

He was an athlete who enjoyed staying active and brought dedication to the lacrosse field. Likewise, he enjoyed golf and felt the freedom of riding his motorcycle.

It was his hobbies as well as ways to fully embrace the moment.

Away from the field, he enjoyed gaming with friends, balancing physical adventure and digital connection.

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of 2017 alumnus and LCA “lifer” Kyle Price. Kyle will be fondly remembered for his infectious personality, his athletic talent on the lacrosse field, and many other notable traits that left a lasting impact on those around him. We extend our deepest condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him during this difficult time.

Kyle Landon Price was a beloved son, brother, grandson, and friend whose warmth and kindness touched countless lives.

Sadly, he passed away unexpectedly at the age of 26 on January 11, 2026.

Kyle was the son of Steven and Merci Price, born in Lexington, Kentucky.

His parents raised him alongside his sister, Amber, with values of faith, kindness, and genuine connection, which he carried throughout his life.

His joyful spirit became a cornerstone of his family and community. He attended Southland Christian Church, and his faith lived out through his everyday actions.

He had the rare gift of seeing people, and his infectious smile could light up any room.

One of Zach’s best friends growing up. Kyle (AKA Asian) was one great young man! There will always be a special place in our hearts for him! You will be greatly missed! Please keep praying for his family!

Kyle’s passion for lacrosse reflected his energetic and team-oriented spirit, but his greatest joy was found in the quiet moments of togetherness.

He cherished time spent with his close-knit circle of friends, his devoted girlfriend, Jessi, and his family. He understood that life’s deepest meaning was found in connection.

Kyle is survived by his loving parents, Steven and Merci Price; his sister, Amber Price; his paternal grandmother, Helen Price; his maternal grandmother, Maria Piepenbrok; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and a vast community of friends who were family to him.

His time was brief, but the immeasurable impact of his generous heart and joyful spirit will never be forgotten.

Please say a prayer for Helen and her family. This is her grandson, Kyle.

The Price family will hold a visitation service from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 15, at Southland Christian Church, 5001 Harrodsburg Rd, Nicholasville, KY.

A funeral service will immediately follow at 12:00 p.m. at the church. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 16, at Blue Grass Memorial Gardens in Nicholasville.

Kyle Price’s memory will forever be a blessing.
