Sebastian Popp was forced to medically forfeit a match when a persistent elbow injury forced the tough athlete to make a difficult decision.
His mother shared a heartfelt moment on Facebook and described her son’s rare vulnerability.
Mendy Popp never seen Sebastian turn down a match.
Her son had even wrestled through a chipped elbow before, but the fear of causing permanent damage made him sit out this time.
Well, this young athlete competed with a fractured elbow and secured third place on Saturday despite ongoing discomfort, and tomorrow we have an appointment with an orthopedic doctor to determine the extent of his recovery period 🙏 tough young boy daddy loves ya buddy.
However, the story quickly turned from one of disappointment to a heartwarming display of team spirit.
