Cindy Barker, a Facebook user, posted heartbreaking images on Facebook showing the devastating firebombing that destroyed her home in Lee County, Virginia.
Alongside the photos, she shared her devastating story that occurred on March 18, 2026.
She shared the heartbreaking truth that all three of her children had passed away before the fire, including a son who once played football in local schools.
As per her, she raised all of them in Lee County, Virginia, where they attended local schools.
Her first son died from AFib at age 37 while she was doing street ministry alone in Ohio.
Two years later, her second son was murdered. Similarly, two years after that, her third son died from sepsis that shut down his organs.
Her post revealed her pain, her memories, and her desperate need for help.
In her post, she explained why she started a GoFundMe campaign, mentioning that she had no insurance and no savings.
Freddy McDonald’s Mother Survived A Firebombing That Destroyed Her Home and Everything She Owned!
, 70, the fire was not an accident; it was set on purpose.
She believes someone poured something flammable on the air conditioner, which wasn’t even plugged in, causing it to explode and wake her just in time to escape.
The person responsible, she says, wasn’t from the area. In the chaos, someone took pictures of her and the burning house and sent them to her.
Cindy was once active on gospel radio in Pennington and was known in the community.
Now she finds herself sick, displaced, and struggling to rebuild on a minimal income.
She wrote:
All of my children died before the fire, they went to the schools here and one played football. Someone asked where I was from so I put this out I lived here most of my life in these beautiful mountains.
At the end of her post, she clarifies her identity, writing:
I was married to Bobby Barker. I am his widow of 23 years. I am Freddy McDonald’s Mom.
Recently, she created a GoFundMe campaign titled “.”
The primary purpose of this campaign is to recover and rebuild from scratch.
Although some people helped with basic items like a bed, she still needs support to rebuild her life.
Her campaign is not just about financial recovery; it’s a plea for acknowledgment of the life she built and lost.
At the age of 70, without her husband and children, she is seeking help to start over.
Prayers for Cindy Barker, May Healing Find Her.
