Barstool Sports golf influencer Cody “Beef” Franke, a former PGA professional, tragically passed away at the age of 31, leaving behind his parents and his brother Craig in grief.

Before his untimely passing, Cody was attending a wedding in the Dominican Republic over the weekend.

His death was confirmed by Barstool Sports on October 27, 2026, sending shockwaves through the golf and sports communities.

While the exact cause of death has not been publicly disclosed, he is remembered for the lasting impact he made on the golf community.

Born in 1994, Franke developed a passion for golf at a young age alongside his brother, Craig, who is also a PGA member.

Growing up in Lake Villa, Illinois, the Franke brothers were introduced to the sport by their grandparents and spent their youth playing together.

While specific details about Craig’s career and current position are not widely publicized, he is known to have worked at Monroe Golf Club in New York.

Moreover, he was a member of Pinecrest Golf Club before leaving his job in August 2026.

Craig’s Facebook profile reveals that he completed his graduation from Ferris State University after attending Lakes Community High School.

The Franke brothers were seen as close from childhood, with Beef often sharing posts about his brother, Craig, on Instagram, including a special post on National Sibling Day.

As Cody has now left the world early, his brother Craig has not made any official statements, but many have expressed their support and sympathy to the Franke family.

Not only is Cody remembered as a good and kind soul, but also for his golf skills, reflecting his inspiring knowledge and teaching, one person on Facebook comments writes;

While the funeral details for Cody have not yet been made public by the Franke family, his brother Craig and parents seem to be taking some time to mourn privately.
