I have an image of my son dying in my head over and over and over and then him smiling and then him walking away. I just keep seeing my son in my head.

Likewise, Amari’s mother, Kim Peterson, voiced the heartbreak, saying:

My baby was innocent. We were just at the wrong place at the wrong time. Who would have known my baby wasn’t gonna come home with me?

Amari’s godmother has organized fundraising efforts through Venmo and  “Help Amari’s Family Through This Tragedy” to cover funeral expenses and honor his memory.

The family has emphasized that no parent should have to bury their child, and they are now focused on keeping Amari’s legacy alive.

Prayers to the Peterson family as they mourn the heartbreaking loss of their beloved son, Amari.

Rest In Peace, Beautiful Soul!
