UNT head football coach Eric Morris and his longtime wife, Maggie Morris, have been married for 14 years.

Eric Morris was officially hired as the head football coach at the University of North Texas on December 13, 2026.

He was just hired as the next head football coach at Oklahoma State University on November 25, 2026, after leading the Mean Green to a bowl game.

Throughout Eric’s wild ride from taking the UNT job to landing the big one at Oklahoma State, Maggie has been the one grounding him.

Although the intricate details of their first meeting and dating phase aren’t available, Maggie and Eric have built a tight-knit family of four over the years.

Eric and tied the knot on June 26, 2011, and have spent 14 years of a sound marriage.

Born on May 8, 1987, the 39-year-old Maggie keeps a low profile, unlike her husband.

Four years after their wedding, Eric and Maggie welcomed their first child, their elder son, Jack Morris, on September 15, 2015.

They expanded their family after almost 5 years with the arrival of their youngest son, George Andrew Morris, on April 7, 2026.

Eric couldn’t hide his joy when George was born. He shared the exclusive news right away on Twitter, calling Maggie a “superstar” while sharing those first blurry baby pics.

He wrote:

Smiles were extra big in the Morris’ household the past two days! My wife Maggie is a superstar, and big brother Jack is pretty dang proud! Thanks for all the support and prayers! Welcome to the 🌎 George Andrew Morris.

In fact, Eric never holds back from raving about Maggie and their boys on social media.

Back in 2012, when he was still grinding as a young coach, he tweeted about counting down the days to see her again, writing:

less than a week till I see your pretty face! I am in need of some Maggie time in a bad way!

They launched the “Morris Family Challenge” in July 2026, raising $175,000 for UNT Football NIL with Fan Donations and Dan Smith’s Matching Gifts!

Maggie has been Eric’s biggest supporter. As for spotting Maggie at the games, she’s been a fixture in the UNT crowd since day one.

One of the coolest things the Morrises did together was launch the “Morris Family Challenge” last summer.

In July 2026, right as training camp kicked off, Eric and Maggie they’d match every dollar donated to UNT’s Green Lights Fund, up to $50,000, for football NIL.

It was their way of giving back to the program and the Denton community that welcomed them.

Fans stepped up big time; they hit that goal by mid-August, and it even sparked another matching gift from the Dan Smith family.

Eric shared the news on Instagram, tagging Maggie and calling it a team effort from the whole family.
