Former Virginia Tech Men’s Basketball team assistant coach Kevin Gilter’s wife, Katelyn, has a decade of experience in the fitness industry.

Presently, Katelyn has been serving as a trainer at Burn Boot Camp since August 2026 in New River Valley.

She and Kevin had recently moved to the New River Valley because he got a job with the Virginia Tech men’s basketball team.

Katelyn began her fitness journey as a Franchise Developer for Pure Barre’s corporate team. During her time there, Katelyn realized she belonged to the gym side of the business.

Thereafter, Katelyn completed her ACE Personal Trainer certification. Now she has ten years of experience in the industry.

A South Carolina native, Katelyn has moved several times following Kevin’s coaching moves.

In 2019, when he joined Virginia Tech as an assistant under head coach Mike Young, they relocated from Spartanburg to the New River Valley area in Blacksburg, Virginia.

Now they are relocating back to Spartanburg as Kevin was as Wofford’s new head men’s basketball coach on September 22, 2026, replacing Dwight Perry.

Kevin Giltner and Katelyn, a Married Couple of 8 Years, Have Two Daughters!
