Bright, Indiana Mourns Beloved Trojans Youth Football Coach Chad Bruce, 41; Survived by Wife Kendra and Sons Brooks and Boone

The Bright, Indiana, community is mourning the untimely death of beloved resident and longtime coach, Chad Bruce.

Chad Bruce passed away unexpectedly on Monday, November 10, 2026, at an untimely age of 41, leaving his wife, sons, and loved ones devastated.

His wife, Kendra Bruce, took to her social media to announce the passing of her beloved husband and express her sorrow.

Kendra further added that she and their son, Boone, witnessed the traumatic event and are still in shock and completely numb.

The post reads:

“I dont want to post this because it makes it real. The last twelve hours have been a nightmare. I’m still in shock and completely numb. Chad passed away unexpectedly last night. Please keep me and the boys in your prayers as we try to process this. It was a very traumatic event that Boone and I witnessed. I’m so sorry I haven’t reached out personally,it’s just too painful right now.

Chad Bruce touched the lives of many in the community as a remarkable youth football coach. He was serving as the coach of the Trojans Youth Football Black team, a nonprofit organization that helps athletes on their sports journey.

He was also a beloved member of the Tri-State Youth Football Association and the East Central Youth Football team.

A graduate of East Central High School, Chad Bruce also played multiple sports during his high school.

In addition to being an amazing coach, Chad Bruce was a devoted husband to his longtime wife, Kendra Bruce, and a loving father to their two sons, Boone and Brooks.

While very little information about his wife, Kendra’s professional journey is available as she prefers to maintain a low profile, her social media is filled with pictures of late Chad Bruce and their sons.

Chad Bruce and Kendra Bruce guided their two sons, Brooks and Boone, to be outstanding athletes from a very young age.

Furthermore, Chad served as his sons’ first coach, guiding them in their baseball and football journey.

Brooks and Boone play for the Trojans Youth Football team and also participate in the local baseball club, aspiring to become professional athletes and to keep their late father, Chad’s, legacy in sports alive.

His son,, wearing jersey No. 17, is a running back from the Class of 2031. He plays for Team Indiana Football – Class of 2032, 6th Grade North, as of 2026

Chad Bruce often shared his sons’ achievements on social media, expressing his love and pride for them.

Likewise, the Bright, Indiana, community has created apage to help Chad’s wife and sons ease the financial burden during this heartbreaking time as they make funeral and memorial arrangements and navigate their loss.

The fundraiser aims to raise $30k, and to date, around $28,046 has been raised.

Chad Bruce will always be remembered as a great coach, an incredible father, and a loving husband in the community.
